I have been looking at the angels on the page here and they are truly spurring me to meditation. They seem to be struggling very hard to accomplish something, to get somewhere. I see them with scroll, with word, with invitation, with a desire to accompany. What will it take on my part to open to them, to the message they bring, to an acceptance of their presence near me? I think that all they need is my openness and they will be able to commune with me. In the Old Testament angels are always God's messengers but more that that they are the message of God, and the mediated presence of God with the people. I pray to be open so that these angels can dance and sing and surround each of us with God's loving presence. Open my heart to your word, O God.
